Why I’m on Couchsurfing

..don't have too much stereotypes or preconceptions about parts of society. Fighting with those stereotypes I have. Will help me? (:

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well :) In 2008 I met one European Voluntary Service participant from Germany. He became my first foreign friend. :)
Our friendship continued even when he returned back to Germany..
And in summer of 2009 he and his girlfriend went to Latvia again for Latvian summer fest "Jāņi". As he needed place to stay - I offered my flat because I knew I can trust him. :) Neither person of my family could be in town those days so I gave him key and he stayed here alone.
I was quite worried how will he feel there. And actually - later he said that this was a big big shock for him that I gave him all my house, such a big trust and hospitality from my side..
This was good experience for me to help my old friend :)
Nowadays I have lots of friends from different projects and sport competitions where I had been participating(Lithuania, Estonia, Romania, Germany, ..). So I know how great it is to meet open-minded people :) And I think that I can participate in this project too.

For updating: surfed a couch for one night for E. J. Brebner (can't forget to mention, that my mother and friends liked him a lot! (: )
and was glad to meet and to surf a couch for Pedro Joaquín Agón on his long way home - to Costa Rica
