Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Inspiring and fascinating..sometimes surprising and disappointing (this is not Tinder, guys!).. anyway, CS provides the unique oppurtunity to meet people from many different spheres and surroundings, to share a little piece of your world and yourself, to be together, to enrich each other. At least I hope, this crucial pure idea of CS is still alive..and many people I meet via CS proved me, that it is, many of them have become my friends..thanks for that!

Interests

It always depends... It's definitely music, dancing, nature, art of any kind, (analogue) photography, hiking, or just sleeping.. hanging out, travelling as anyone else here.. and I am always up to go for wine/beer, to explore hidden urban places... being close to people I like, I love.. or just enjoying my solitude..

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies which leave a trail inside..and a bit weird, strong, dark... Dogville (and other Trier´s movies), T. Gilliam´s work (Brazil!), A. Zvjagincev (Leviathan!), A.Tarkovskij (Stalker!), Shining (and all Stanley Kubrick´s masterpieces in general), Roman Polanski (Repulsion!), Emir Kusturica (Underground!), Waltz with Bashir, anything from excellent surrealist Jan Švankmajer, Miloš Forman (Hair), comedian Dylan Moran (Black Books)... depicted the most powerfull ones to me, the list is pretty long :)

Music is a big issue to me..many many hours of dancing, often just alone..feeling of freedom and joy...... that's the power of music! Impossible to depict just few, I will try some.... Nick Cave, Swans, Devotchka, Joy Division, Firewater, Mark Lanegan, Massive Attack, Portishead, Bjork, 16 Horsepower, Yasmin Levy, Television, Gang of Four, Kalle, Woven Hand, Mari Boine, Pink Floyd, Yann Tiersen, Tom Waits, Kronos Quartet, Coco Rosie, Persian music, folk music of particular regions, modal music, some of electronic music, hardcore stuff,..and many many mooore ..........uf! And always opened to get a new inspiration out of the music library of the others!

I wish I could find more time for reading. Kundera´s Unbearable Lightness of Being is probably one of the number one for me..and Boris Vian´s Foam of the Days and Heartsnatcher..
I am waiting for the one which has a power to absorb the whole of me, to let me disappear, to vanish..... But in general I enjoy those philosophical-existencionalistic-social-critical stuff..and of course the anti-utopic novels as 1984, Animal farm, Brave New world..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ugh, that's tricky... As everyone I have some small personal victories behind me, I will keep it to share in person... Thinking about it, I am pretty glad I decided for one or two "no-one knows what's gonna happen solo hitchhiking journeys" with having no specific plan or lots of cash...just going with the flow, following the universe. And it was one of the most precious decisions in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

There is a bilion of movies and hours and hours of music on my harddisk which I usually have with me.. always willing to share all of it with people who are interested. And of course, I am very opened towards any new inspiration in this field!

I would love to learn Farsi! :)

...and yeah, sharing some of the 'cooking know-how' would be great!

In general, I love talking with people about their everydayness, what's on their minds, what's their perspective on things and why.. that's the point, stepping out of the boxes, crossing the boarders not just geographically but, more important, also mentally..

What I Can Share with Hosts

Practically anything.. food, wine or beer, stories, point(s) of view, time, experience(s), friends ... and so ... You may become a part of my tiny world for couple of days...if you like.. in case you don´t, I will provide you as much privacy as you need.. so, it´s up to you how much are you willing to be "involved".

I am ready to spend time with you, to talk, to hang round, to offer you a little insight to young people´s lifes.... and I am really looking forward to hear about your world and so..cause that´s actually the point, no?

PS - I really don't care if you are vaccinated or not...this whole logic around it is sick..so stop mentioning this in your requests please.
