About Me
Hi!
I love meeting new people so I am happy to host you if you are coming to Johannesburg for your stay. Lucky for you my apartment is close to all the action in Joburg :)
You know how when you are living somewhere you take it for granted and actually don't really experience the place? It's kind of awkward because I meet tourists who have been to corners of Johannesburg that I didn't even know about. Well I am trying to rectify that now by doing more exploring of Joburg. So if I am doing something cool and you want to tag along then you are most welcome. I am interested in hiking, vegetarian cooking, creative writing. I'm also an Artificial Intelligence Junkie (doing my PhD in that) so if you want to come check out my awesome Uni where I study you have an open invitation.
I'm currently taking a sabbatical from work and focusing on my PhD. Simultaneously I'm trying to work out what to do with my life. Why is that so hard to do?
It is impossible to quantify just how much I have grown from traveling. I almost shudder at the thought of who I would be today if it were not for my amazing travel experiences. I feel I have so much more to see and there is just not enough time! My next trip will be South East Asia. If I can afford it I would love to do a 3 month tour and really explore that part of the world.
As I am fairly new to Couchsurfing I host for a maximum of 3 nights, which is the maximum I feel comfortable with. I hope you understand :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
If it were up to me I would travel from one country to the next until I fainted. But you know, life and stuff. So when I am in Johannesburg it's cool to also host people and experience new cultures and people that way.

Music, Movies, and Books
My fingers would be sore from typing if I listed all these + you would be bored because reading long lists is not the the most fun way to spend your time.
Have you found that since series became a big thing moves are kind of meh? I find I barely watch movies nowadays or if I do it's some Marvel blockbuster with crazy effects.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I managed to see the Northern lights in Canada. Technically this is not something amazing I did. Nature did it and I just sat my ass down and watched. Thanks nature :)
