COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Well, I was homeless for a summer when I was 16 (thanks dad!) and that was basically two full months of couches. I set up surrogate home on the leather couch of a family I babysat for and other than that, I took whatever I could. This site wasn't around back then, but I managed. Other than that summer, I'm always sleeping at people's houses. I drive up to L.A. a lot and do a lot of road tripping and traveling. I'm pretty accustomed to staying wherever I'm welcome.

I have done too many amazing things in my life. Even little things that I think are amazing like putting a plastic bag around my cat's neck and watching him run around the house like SuperFred trying to get it off. Or the time I hitchhiked from Gilette Stadium back to Boston with some random kids from Maine. Or seeing Norm MacDonald at my favorite Hollywood Diner and pissing him off by quoting his Burt Reynolds impression from celebrity Jeopardy. I can't even put into words the shitty hands I've been dealt or how I've come through it all. Well, maybe I'll put it into words eventually. Then you can buy the book.
