About Me
Disclaimer to possibly save you some time: This is not a dating website and I’m not looking for a hook up...
I am 19 and travelling around Europe at the moment on a gap year before university (I am starting in February 2020). I wanted to take this year off to develop my ideas and opinions about the world and how I want to live within it. What better way to do that than by meeting a wide range of people, hearing their opinions and experiencing their lifestyle? love meeting new people and am I’m super interested in hearing different perspectives on random things as I travel round and am always down for a chat but am also ok to just do my own thing as well.
In terms of hobbies at home I play quite a lot of sport: waterpolo (and obviously swimming), volleyball, and I run for fitness (when I’m motivated). I am always willing to give other sports a go as well.
I also love music: I play violin and piano and used to sing in a choir but now only sing along to my favourite songs - in the car, in my room, in the shower, and during karaoke.... (basically anywhere).
I really enjoy nature as well and like to get out and do some hikes when I can.
Also... I love dogs (and cats... and all animals... a lot...)
For the last couple of years I have become increasingly more interested in social issues (particularly surrounding the indigenous peoples of Australia) and what we can do to improve them - always love to chat about this as well and hear your opinion.
I am also very happy just to do my own thing if you need space at any time.

Music, Movies, and Books
Just day to day my music vibe is mostly very chill and relaxed: I love indie, some pop, soft rock, and some older stuff like Queen, Bob Dylan, the Eagles, ABBA... you get the idea - basically anything I can sing along to. Aside from the classical music that I play (and subsequently listen to) I am also interested in learning more about jazz as well (though I don’t know much at the moment).
I like reading and am always interested in hearing book suggestions. Probably my favourite book so far is Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse or crocodile tears.
At the moment I am reading Homo Deus (which I would highly recommend) and would love to have a discussion about it if you have also read it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked as an English teacher in a school in Nepal for a month (mad respect for any teachers out there).
