Doing what I love for a living
I grew up in Casablanca, Morocco and left home at 17 for studies. Since then, I've studied and worked in Paris, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Cape Town and Nairobi, which makes me feel more of a world citizen than being from Morocco, or from Paris, where I spent most of my time. I'm currently moving to Toronto to learn more about sustainable finance.
What makes me happy is making deep human connections. You know that moment when you're having a long, uninterrupted, one-to-one conversation with someone, and you're both so openhearted you start learning things about yourself listening to each other ? And you realize how we're all trying to give meaning to our lives, and how amazing it is to share individual experiences that are utterly unique, yet that inspire each other in their own pursuit of happiness. If we all did this regularly, maybe we'd be more compassionate and responsible humans =).
Although trying to be responsible and all, I don't take myself too seriously. I like making a fool of myself playing the guitar and singing in the street, telling not-so funny-jokes, talking to random people... As long as it helps people smile a little more!
PS : No need to reveal your whole life-story to me if you want to host me or stay at my place haha, I'm generally quite happy hanging out, grabbing some food or going for a hike with couchsurfers!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Milan, 10pm, a friend and I missed our train, and had to wait for the next one at 7am. So we : slept in the street next to two girls from Danemark, woke up at 4am, their money and passports were gone, lead them to the police station, missed the other train, waited for another, slept 2 hours inside, been kicked out cause our interrail pass expired the day before, found ourselves in Parma, walked 5 kilometers to reach the highway, tried to hitchhike, been kicked out from the gas station by the police, went back to the train station, spent all our money to buy tickets, arrived in Roma, took a metro, another train, a bus, a shuttle bus, had to wait an hour outside during a storm, arrived at our camp at 11 pm... and starved because all shops were closed, and we had absolutely no food during the previous 24 hours. It was fun though.
Teach, Learn, Share
