ABOUT ME

I've broken away from the "norm". I'm a free spirit. I'm easy going, friendly and enjoy a good laugh. I love travelling (obviously) and have been on this adventure for almost 3 years; travelling, bartending, playing music, taking photos and connecting with like-minded people. Although I am a Marine Scientist by profession, through travelling I have developed new skills that allow me to work along the way; I write reviews for a bar app, I'm a freelance photographer, a craft cocktail bartender and a travel enthusiast.

I am passionate, motivated and respectful. I like to have a drink but am more about sitting back with a bottle of wine on a comfy lounge, surrounded by good company, food and music. I enjoy a challenge and interesting conversations. I love to run, snowboard, surf, cook, hike, camp, play guitar, take photos and make cocktails.

Note: please be so kind and read through my profile before sending an invitation. I want to be comfortable with people I stay with, and have a few things in common at least! There's nothing worse than sitting in a room feeling awkward. I will NOT tolerate being hit on and find it frankly disrespectful so if that's your intention than I suggest you look elsewhere.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a big believer in getting amongst the local scene and connecting with like-minded people. I love the couch surfing philosophy and think its a great way to experience a town from a different perspective.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Travelling is way more awesome when meeting locals. My friend and I stayed with a couple in Bergen, Norway one New Year's Eve and had a blast meeting all their friends at their party and watching fireworks in a near-by park.

I have lived, worked and travelled all around Australia and I'm sure I can give you some priceless local tips. I studied Marine Science at University so I'm always keen to talk about environmental conservation and sustainability. I love animals, the outdoors (especially the beach!), running, music, meeting people and getting out of my comfort zone. I also play guitar and sing; I love to write music and have sing-a-longs around a campfire! I'll most likely want to learn about your taste in music and swap my entire collection with you. I'm really into keeping healthy and fit (which I'm determined to maintain while traveling) and running is my way of zoning out and exploring nature. After living in Vancouver for almost two years, I've really got into hiking and hope to do more around the world!

I love movies that make you think and comedies too, but don't have a lot of time to watch TV/Movies
