About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I would like to check off at least 150 countries in my lifetime, see their cultures, and meet and learn from their amazing people. Hit my 100th with Uganda Fall of 2019 and looking forward to 105th on horizon : )
ABOUT ME
Hi : ) I'm 46 years young and been in the healthcare field for 20+ years since finishing undergraduate work. I have followed since with three graduate degrees with the intention of ultimately teaching physical education and health to secondary student in a public education system, either here or more likely different countries abroad. I see myself doing working with Doctors Without Borders hopefully down the road with a nursing degree obtained to supplement my healthcare background.
PHILOSOPHY
Learn as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die tomorrow. There are no dress rehearsals in life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Connecticut is considered a drive-through state, but if you have a little time (preferably warmer season) and dig a bit, it has some quaint spots! I look forward to meeting culturally diverse people, sharing some of my own experiences, hosting and willing to show people around or suggest beautiful areas of Connecticut, and surrounding states to visit.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Nothing but good things to say thus far. Met a couple great families, a few interesting and outgoing individuals, and have even been invited to play a mean game of ultimate frisbee : )
