Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I traveled through Europe with my best friend/ partner in crime/ fellow wanderer and Couchsurfer (Katie Guinn). We met so many awesome people and I want to continue to meet even more amazing people!
Music, Movies, and Books
I grew up on Pink Floyd, Dave Matthews and Billy Joel, I love reading but a few books I'd recommend are "Hyperbole and a Half", "Choke" and "Not That Kind of Girl". As childish as they seem I will also always love The Chronicles of Narnia and Harry Potter series. As far as movies go, it's definitely a toss up between Big Fish (Tim Burton) and Melancholia (Lars Von Trier)
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I love hiking, last year my mom and I backpacked in the Redwoods for a week. That itself isn't amazing but the view and the memory absolutely is ( and we ended up hiking about 40 miles, which is nothing when you realize how vast the California Redwoods are) but it was still quite an experience and I can't wait to go back. It's a cliche but I definitely left part of my heart in the Redwoods.
Teach, Learn, Share
I played tennis for 10 years and I competitively raced kayaks for 8, so if you want to learn how to play tennis, or paddle or surf a boat, I'm your girl! I speak a bit of French and would love to teach you or learn more! As far as cooking goes, I'm not great with a recipe but give me a kitchen and I can cook something up. I also truly enjoy learning about whatever other people are passionate about, if it's something you love then I'd love to know more about it.
