Orhan was born in a small Turkish village in Turkey. Gülşah was born in the west of Turkey in the beautiful Aegean region.

They live in Kuwait together. Orhan teaches English at the university. Gülşah teaches chess and organizes chess events.

They have two Siamese cats, Oman and his father Berlin.

Orhan is interested in literature, poetry, yoga, Chigong, breathing, cold showers, and stuff.

Gülşah is also a laughter yoga teacher, interested in sports cars, spirituality, board games, DJing, and stuff.

They love to socialize and have a lovely circle of friends. To put it simply we are two lucky souls who are grateful to have found each other and are very open to new ideas, cultures and experiences.

Orhan has a 12 year old son living in Turkey in the Black Sea region. Gülşah has family near İzmir. They both have a lot of friends and family in Turkey. They spend a decent amount of time in Turkey during holidays.

Orhan speaks English with his son and they love to experiment with writing together, they have put together some funny and fun rhymefull children’s books together and they also play computer games, table tennis, swim and watch anime, mainly One Piece, together.

Gülşah likes to spend time with her friends. She likes to travel and also to explore cafes around town. She also follows events around the city and likes to take a walk in some nice seaside areas. They usually spend time together after Orhan is done in the campus.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Orhan doesn’t really care so much about places, likes to focus on the people more. Couchsurfing is amazing for meeting lots of new people and for having a rather authentic experience of the place people visit. He used Couchsurfing many years ago back in Turkey, that account is lost so he and Gülşah started this account from scratch. They love having guests over and hanging out together and would love to go to more places and meet more people and see new places. Couchsurfing is perfect for that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Orhan can teach English, he has conversational level German and Bulgarian and can get by in Arabic. He has been practising yoga, Chi gong, breathing and cold showers for the last eight years and he would enjoy sharing those experiences, theoretically or by practicing together.

Gülşah can share her chess, laughter yoga experience. She can advise or take you to events and places around the city. She know some cool places to hang out.

They are also kind of learned and interested in astrology so you can have fun conversations about it together. You can go to private social events together with them. They can show you around the city, hang out with you on the beaches or in the desert.
