I’m Óscar, 29, from Spain 🇪🇸. The last 10 years I’ve been living in Ireland, England, Scotland, France, Switzerland… and now I’m starting a new adventure in New Zealand with a Working Holiday Visa. Because I believe the best way to know a place is through its people. I love the idea of sharing, trust and cultural exchange. I’d like to meet locals in Auckland who can give me advice for my first weeks in New Zealand, while I get set up with work and daily life.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I listen to a lot of Spanish music, French rap, and rock/nu metal bands like Linkin Park. I also enjoy reggae and different styles when the vibe is good. Movies & Series: I like a bit of everything — horror, action, adventure, comedies — and I’m also into anime. Books: I usually read biographies and books about personal growth, motivation and self-improvement.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
• Travelled solo around Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary). • Hitchhiked more than 80 times — including a ride at 3am in Brussels. • Climbed my first 4,000 m peak in the Italian Alps 🏔️. • Hiked the Tour du Mont Blanc (220 km, 11,000 m elevation gain) — one of the most beautiful landscapes I’ve ever seen. • Completed my first triathlon in Lausanne, Switzerland, even without much swimming experience. • Tried indoor skydiving in Switzerland and went snowboarding in the Alps. • Practised judo since I was 4 years old — now a 2nd dan black belt and still passionate about it.

My Interests
• Sports 🥋🚴♂️🏃♂️ (black belt in Judo, mountain biking, trail running, triathlon). • Hiking & outdoors — nothing better than a coffee with a view of the mountains. • Learning and practicing languages (I speak Spanish, Catalan, English, French and some Italian; now starting Japanese). • Travelling, exploring cultures, meeting new people.
