Overview
About Me
I am a writer, composer, avid reader, occasional spiritualist, rarely a dauber and seldom a thinker. I try to live like in a novel so that I can accomplish epic feats, which works more frequently than it seems and less than it should. I'm one of those old-fashioned guys yearning to believe that life is a metaphor for something else that you have to uncloak.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because it's easier than studying anthropology.
Interests
Academically speaking, I focus on South Asian and Buddhist Studies, but I have written about almost everything but that. For instance, Logic, Christianity, Greek and Egyptian mythologies, Spanish and international rock music, Aesthetics, the Middle Ages, intercultural dialogue or even tourist guides. And fiction!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Having been hosted by many kind-hearted people to whom I remain grateful (if you're reading this, thank you!). Also, having hosted some travellers who gave me a glimpse of their worlds.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd be glad to teach hosts and guests Spanish, French, Philosophy, a little bit of music or how to be happy.
In more practical terms, I have been to nearly 30 countries, for over 20 days in most cases, so I'd be glad to share any (austere) travel advice.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Eyes for he who can see.
(My former flatmate, and lifelong friend, Luis Blanes keeps the other half of the references from the travellers we both hosted in Sevilla: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/luis.blanes/references)
