About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Building a treehouse in our yard because we didnt have one when we were kids

ABOUT ME

We are two brothers from Peru in South America who permanently reside in Brisbane for over 7 years

We are planning to go to Europe this year and try to experience couchsourfing as well, so we tought we should host some travellers as well

This city has a lot of international students and backpackers from a lot of places so we endedup making a lot of good friends from Germany, Norway, France, Finland, Iceland, Spain, US, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, South Africa, Russia, England.. For us is fun to have people from other places around so as long as you are friendly, easygoing, tidy and don’t mind having a couple or many more beers or a bbq on the weekend, then you can stay with us :)

We are really chilled out and would like to work less than we unfortunately have to. We have a band with a couple of mates and we are trying to be very ingenious with reggae music and every type of music in general.

We work Mon to Friday from 8 to 5 and have more free time during the weekend to go to nearby towns like Byron bay, Coloongatta, Tweed Heads, Noosa, Maleny, Montville, Nimbin, etc like we usually do.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is about making yourself happy, but you will be more happy and fulfilled if you focus on other people's happiness rather than yours

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not yet on this site, but we already had a few friends from overseas using our couch

Interests

Gonzalo: Anything to do with fitness and working out, playing bass and guitar, yoga, meditation, travelling.. also building ant farms, chess, and making dwarf fortresses

Pablo: I do like and do quite a few activities such as squash, tennis, running, bike riding, rock climbing, kayaking and anything that keeps me active. However, I need at least once a week to just chill out and enjoy the beautiful days in Australia at the park with a bbq and some drinks or at the pool or the beach. Meditation is also a new activity I'm getting into...

I play drums I have an electric kit and acoustic one too, I’d really like to learn piano if someone knows that , it is a plus ;)

I really enjoy to read a good book and love going to the movies. Travelling is of course one of my main interests and I have gone not to as many places as I d like to so now that I have themeans I wanna take advantage and travel more. I’ve been to Argentina, Chile, America, Fiji, Thailand, Malaysia and in Australia I've been to Fraser Island, Moreton Island, all the North Coast, South Coast, Melbourne and Sydney several times.

Music, Movies, and Books

Radiohead, Arcade Fire, The Pixies, The Cure, Deftones, Pink Floyd, Jeff Buckley, Bob Marley, the Outkast, Frank Ocean, Marc Anthony, Wisin y Yandel.. that is just what I have been listening lately, I like good music in a lot different genres.

We gotta emphasize BOB MARLEY

And to dance of course reggaeton, salsa, cumbia like we all latinos do :p

Oh and by the way we have a band with another friend and all we are missing is a lead singer! so you are welcome to audition if you want :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is a family thing we have been doing in Peru for a lot of years with our parents: bringing Christmas gifts and hot chocolate to kids who live in a poor rural town in the andean area of Peru, close to Lima.

Countries I’ve Visited
