About Me
Hello mates!
I'm Pablo from Uruguay, South America. Currently traveling thought France and Spain, after finishing my experience living and working in Germany and France.
Professional bus driver, tour guide, high school history teacher, and amateur luthier. I really enjoy traveling and meeting new people every day. So far, I have been lucky to meet in the workaway and CouchSurfing communities dozens of passionate travelers who did teach me a lot about different ways to discover the world, and I'll look forward to keeping learning and getting to know new adventures.
I am passionate about History and Cultural studies. Low budget traveler, hitchhiker, bikepacker and amateur hiker. I'm looking for a quixotic adventure and a story to tell.
In this new trip, I'm willing to explore the whole west coast of France, and get into the Camino de Santiago to visit Compostela and Fisterra, as well as go after around Portugal and south Spain. This is a bikepacking trip where I'm starting alone from Finistère, France, after working the summer in a restaurant as part of my WH experience.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to have a totally immersive travel experience, meeting different people to learn about they culture and passions. I'm a very flexible person, respectful about all human choices.

Music, Movies, and Books
I aprecciate all music. Depends allways on my mood, but I usually listen a lot of folk south american music or new songs that I learn from every place that I visit.
Scorcese gangsters movies. My favorite series are Boardwalk Empire and The Sopranos
Thrillers: Better Call Saul, Sons of Anarchy, Dr. House.
Also sitcom's: Seinfeld, Friends, Community and The Office.
Im an passionate reader, always reading all that i can get. About travel writers, I did read a lot from Paul Theroux, Juan Pablo Villarino and Eduardo Redjuch de la Mancha.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't really think I've done or seen anything incredible, but I will mention my solo travels, something I hardly would have believed I would be able to do a few years before:
During 2022 I did travel hitchhiking from Portugal to Türkey, meeting amaizing people and participating in different voluntering jobs.
In 2023 I've travel on my bicycle from Saxony in Germany to Oslo, visiting big part of Sweden and Denmark in about two months. Long rides under the rain and camping everynight in the forests.
Discovering Germany thought the regional train system during the 49 euros Deustchland Ticket, taking several trains in just a couple weeks with 11 hours train rides sometimes.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am passionate about history, musical instruments, geography and cycling. We can discuss at length about these subjects, as well as exchange opinions about books and travel experiences. I love to think and rethink about my luggage and travel strategies, and learn from other travelers.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a fast learner and would like to help as much as possible. Cleaning, cooking, basic maintenance, instrument maintenance, etc.
