ABOUT ME

I was born & raised in a small town in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. I left when I was 17 to attend an international boarding school in Wales and have pretty much been traveling ever since...although I do enjoy a dose of the small town from time-to-time too. In fact, I'm back home now spending some time with the family and saving up money to go on an overland trip across Africa!!

Most recently before this I was working for an international non-profit organization and traveled a lot for work. I got a lot of stamps in the passport and worked with a lot of interesting people but I'm looking forward to spending less time in big hotels and getting out of the cities on my future travels.

I've always loved the outdoors and enjoy a lot of activities involving nature from hiking, biking, swimming, you name it. I'm not a fanatic about any of them but am always up for new adventures.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to CS and not an a position to host right now, but am excited to get more engaged. I'm definitely up for showing people around Spearfish or the Black Hills.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to CS but have done a fair bit of informal couch surfing in my travels with friends, family and those kind souls who just happen to offer a place to rest your head. I enjoy getting to know a place from a 'local' perspective and finding the spots off the usual tourist map.
