Hello! My name is Paloma. I'm from Brazil and I've been living abroad for about 3,5 years now for an exchange program. I'm an au pair, what means that I came here to study English/German, while living and working for a host family. Back in Brazil I am an Engineering student, big sister of 2 girls and 2 boys, auntie of a little princess and much more to be listed.
Interested in Adventure Sports
Interested in Cooking
Fluent in English
Learning German
Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I heard about this couchsurfing thing from many other au pair girls, who are living the same experience and who just like me don't have a great income to spend on trips or whatever. So this sounds great for people who really wants to have a cultural exchange experience, make some friends and save some money at the same time.
Music, Movies, and Books
I’m very eclectic and music really depends on my mood. Movie: adventures and love stories are my favs Book: Currently reading about Anne Frank
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I keep a “to do before I die” list and there’re many things there I still dream about. Some “dones” on my list that are amazing for me: skydiving, swimming with dolphins, ride on a “no doors” helicopter above NYC, and more to come
Teach, Learn, Share
I wanna learn everything I can, it's on my wish list: surfing (beyond the couch haha), play guitar, speak other languages, etc...
What I Can Share With Hosts
About the Brazilian culture, and what I've experienced on my trips and living abroad
