About Me

Wei Wu-wei.

I could write that I'm open minded. That I like travels. That I'm into meeting new people on every occasion and whenever I am... but that'd be something obvious to say. So...

... I like travels. I love to twist into little narrow alleys that are far from the main streets, climb up on a buildings and watch the sky from up there. Taking enormous amount of photos of a street art? I'm in. And after that, just sit on the crowded square and watch people and the rest of animals - how they react, move, interact with each other.
... I like meeting people. Different, similar, from all around the world and someone who lives the next door. Talking with strangers on the street? I'm in! (which is a funny thing to write as I'm an introvert and sometimes shy, but hey, let's grow! ;) )
... I love animals - dogs, cats, horses, etc.
... I like plants. But plants don't like me and even when I water them on time, they would die on the end. Well, nobody's perfect.
... I like food. I'm into cooking every now and then, and I do it just like like with dancing - if someone doesnt' care that they can't dance, they can. It's just a matter of attitude.
... I love dancing - contact improv, Body-Mind-Centering, somatic movement.
... I like being spontaneous.
... I like positive energy.
... I like to be alone. Just to fulfill the second part of my mind.

And I don't really like describing myself, so if you have any question - just ask!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My parents were involved in Servas - the oldest hospitality exchange organization - so from the very beginning I remember having someone from abroad at home every now and then.
Ever since I started living on my own, when I was 17, I wanted to continue that attitude - I wanted to make a kind-of-an-open-house of my flat. Now I live with my fiancee and her daughter in split co-parenting every other week, so the dates when I can host are a bit more limited, but I'm always happy to share some info about Warsaw :)
________

Let me know about your arrival in advance - with the weeks with the little one at our place, and a dense calendar, I need to plan things like that.

In your request please write something more than just dates you'd want to stay... and be honest!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

* I've walked with my two friends about 25 kilometers just to watch the sunrise over the sea, and then I've returned on foot with one short hitchhiking. More than 50km with only one half hour stop - when I got to the tent, I fell from place to sleep! But what a wonderful feeling.

* Climbed with a friend after the bricks protruding from the walls until the fourth (or sth like that) storey. I still have a `little` fear of heights, so it was a really great feeling to me - I've overcome it.

* Just walking in the Polish mountains. I love that view and feeling of freedom.

* Lived for more than a month in London, two weeks alone. One of my most favorite cities. Lived for half a year in Paris during the pandemic.

* Lived for half a year in Paris, amidst the pandemic, made friends and memories!

* Trip Budapest - Sarajevo - Dubrovnik - Mostar -Sarajevo - Budapest, which was linked with learning history of these regions... just amazing.

* Hitchhiking trip from Poland to Italy - Milan - through Czech Republic and Austria.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some basic contact improvisation dance, talk about LGBT/Women/Anarchism/refugee at the border with Belarus situation in Poland... we can cook together, talk, go to museum or just drink at my apartment and share stories. There are many options!

What would I learn...? Well, what would you like to teach me? :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

A place to sleep, key to the apartment so you'll be independent (you can sleep as long/short as you want to), good vibes, my fridge, advice where to go and what's going on lately... and more! ;)
