I'm a pretty laid back person who rarely gets stressed about anything.

Some day I'd like to live somewhere completely different from Finland, like in east Asia, to get a different perspective on life.

I'm not a big party person and prefer more casual hangouts.

Here's something more whimsical: if I could have one wish, it'd be a tie between traveling back in time to see ancient cultures, going forward to see how things turn out a few thousand years into the future or seeing the Earth from space with my own eyes.

Though I suppose if I wished for immortality, I could probably achieve the last two... Okay, I switch my wish to immortality!

And here's something unusual: I don't use social media. I'm not fundamentally opposed to it but I'm a pretty private person and don't like the idea of having my life (even a touched-up representation of it) out there for everyone to see.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It can be tough to talk to locals when few of them speak English but that's one of the most interesting parts of traveling!

I've never tried couch surfing before but I'm always open to new experiences and this sounds like a thing worth trying.

I'm also hoping for some hints on what to find off the beaten path. The main attractions in each city usually deliver, but it'd be cool to see some non-touristy things once in a while.
