CURRENT MISSION: CYCLING FROM BAKU TO BUDAPEST 🚴♂️ I’m Patricio, a Mexican who just graduated and is trying to experience the world a bit more before settling into whatever comes next. I’ve spent most of my adult life living abroad, which has shaped how I see things. I’m proud of where I come from and I enjoy sharing it, but at the same time I feel less attached to one place and more interested in understanding different perspectives. Traveling, for me, is mostly about people and the everyday moments that make each place feel different. IG @patriciocortesc

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I found Couchsurfing when I first left home and it quickly became one of my favorite ways to travel. I like the idea of sharing space, time, and conversations with people I wouldn’t normally meet. Sometimes it’s about exploring together; sometimes it’s just a good talk or a meal. Either way, that’s usually what stays with me.
Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is wide, but I often come back to progressive house, minimal techno, soft rock, alternative, and a lot from the 80s and 90s. Favorite directors include Christopher Nolan, Martin Scorsese, and Quentin Tarantino; I appreciate strong storytelling and distinct styles. Actors I enjoy following: Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Jake Gyllenhaal, Javier Bardem, Joaquín Cosío, Robert Pattinson. I mostly read novels. Authors like Gabriel García Márquez and Mario Benedetti have influenced how I think about life and emotions. A book that left a strong mark on me is The Greatest Salesman in the World.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Some I can now think of: -Calling my parents while riding a camel in the Moroccan desert is one of those moments that stuck with me. -Cycling more than 220 km in a day showed me that limits are not always where you think they are. -I also had a serious accident while traveling that changed the way I look at time and how I try to live day to day. If you would like me to host you, please write "sombrero" in your request so I know you read my profile :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I don’t think of this in a structured way. I like exchanging ideas, experiences, and perspectives, and I’m open to learning something new or seeing things through a different lens. At home I try to keep things simple and relaxed. Most things can be shared, though always with respect and consideration.
What I Can Share With Hosts
Sometimes I’m up for exploring together; sometimes I have my own plans, and I’m fine with both and talking about the possibilities. I appreciate simple things like sharing a meal, a drink, or even just a conversation. I don’t expect much, and I try to be as easy to host as possible.
My Interests
I enjoy sports and outside activities, lately I've focused more on traveling and studying, I am very interested in meeting people from all over the world and share what makes us different and so similar at the same time. I like to walk in the city, eat traditional meals and learn about the history of each place
