About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is simple yet profound: to love my wife and savor every moment of raising our amazing son.

ABOUT ME
We are a happy, close-knit family living in the quiet countryside of Moshav Kfar Hess, a beautiful village located just 25 km northeast of Tel Aviv. With easy access to the vibrant city and the stunning Poleg Beach, our home offers the best of both worlds—peaceful scenery and exciting adventures nearby..
25km northeast of Tel-Aviv
(Just a 20-minute Train ride from Tel-Aviv or 45 minutes by bus)
and 20 minutes from the wonderful Poleg beach in Netanya.

Paz: I’m married to Ravit and a proud father to Lavie.
Born and raised in the moshav, I’ve explored every corner of Israel by car, 4x4 jeep, bicycle, and on foot. I love sharing travel tips and showing off my country’s hidden gems. I’ve also backpacked in Southeast Asia, living in a small Thai village for months—a truly life-changing experience. Vegetarian since I was three years old, I don’t mind if you enjoy meat while visiting us. Fun fact: My Master’s thesis helped develop more mountain bike trails across Israel!

Ravit:
Born and raised in Kibbutz Shoval in southern Israel, Ravit is a passionate entrepreneur. She runs her own business, teaching people how to work in pest control in compliance with Israeli law. Before this, she spent five years in Cameroon working for an NGO dedicated to wildlife conservation, protecting gorillas and chimpanzees from bushmeat hunters—a cause she holds close to her heart.

Lavie: Our friendly, Rugby-loving 10-year-old is the fifth generation of our family to grow up in Kfar Hess. He’s always ready to make new friends.

Oh, and we can’t forget our three beloved cats—they’re part of the family too!

The last 2.5 years, we have been actively involved in the struggle against the Israeli government's attempts to undermine democracy and turn our country into a dictatorship. This cause is very close to our hearts, and we believe in standing up for our rights and the rights of others.

PHILOSOPHY
Live simply, stay humble, love deeply, respect others, and protect the Earth.
We believe in sustainability, honesty, diversity, and the motto "Semper Fi".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I was backpacking in the Far East, locals invited me into their homes, welcoming me with warmth and generosity. Now, I want to carry on that tradition by hosting travelers from around the world.
I love connecting with people from different backgrounds, sharing stories and cultures, and showing them the beauty of Israel. Our living room is a gateway to the world—a place where ideas, laughter, and experiences converge.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Israeli rock (Rami Fortis, Mashina, Orphaned Land) and classic rock/metal (Metallica, Black Sabbath, Pantera, and Hendrix).

Movies: Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, and more.

I love music and film because they bring people together and tell stories that resonate deeply.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve trekked the breathtaking Israel National Trail, meeting amazing people along the way.
Another unforgettable experience was living in my Thai friend’s home in their rural village in Isan province—an eye-opening glimpse into a different way of life.
Oh, and seeing Ozzy live in Israel—twice!
