ABOUT ME

I am very grateful to have returned home safely after a global journey on a tandem bike. I rode the front seat while inviting total strangers to join me for various segments on the rear seat. It was an 81-country adventure of a lifetime called Peace Pedalers. We shared each other's lives, cultures, and feelings and created some epic memories. I met my wife Cristina on the tandem and our first child was conceived in Ecuador. We are married now with kids Sol (7), Candela (12) and Luca (14) with Bend, OR as our basecamp for life's adventures. I am passionate about the topic of human connection and inspiring the courage to connect.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to keep it simple. Live Big. Give Big. Love Big. Just do my best in these three areas.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just try to encourage folks to trust, look up from our phones and TV screens, and to celebrate what's truly important and have the courage to connect with what's real. We don't have much space but we still want to host folks when possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm grateful to say I have not had one negative experience. I have much hope for humanity after all these great connections. Big doses of openness and acceptance from strangers is good for the soul I say.

Cycling, surfing, skiing, live music, dancing, cooking, the ocean, the mountains--just being in nature whether walking, climbing, meditating or sleeping.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Love all music--very eclectic tastes. Don't do much reading or going to movies but love a cuddle up with the wife and kids for a flick.
