CURRENT MISSION Researching cultural diversity ABOUT ME Enthousiastic and easy-going, with a passion for photography and literature. After a year as a French teaching assistant in the US, I have lived in the Middle-East for a while - I taught French for one year at a Palestinian university (Al-Quds) then moved to Tel Aviv to learn Hebrew. I have left no stone of Jerusalem Old City's unturned I think while I was living in a converted monastery cellar deep within this maze of stones and people of various persuasions... After that I lived in London for some years, following my girlfriend on a teaching assignment. I collect (and use...) old cameras (film cameras, but I am not adverse to digital photography - I love both), and enjoy writing (essays, travel accounts...). Now I am a student again in Belgrade, enrolled on a Master program in Cultural Policy! PHILOSOPHY Respect for everyone, trying to perceive each side of every problem, to see different perspectives.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
To meet great people while travelling around! And this year, at last, I can host and look forward to it!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I like being moved by a face, a smile, a word, a landscape, a building, the arrangement of a space, a slant of the light... Could be anywhere, any place... The ever-changing fabric of our world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I used to teach French and still can. But I'm more likely to be knowlegeable and fun to listen if you ask me about: Jerusalem Israel Palestine Comparative literature Geopolitics Religion (Christianity, Judaism, Islam) Heritage preservation and transition Architecture and urbanism Anything related to the Balkans I'm pretty entousiastic about all this, so the only risk involved is not being able to stop me...
What I Can Share With Hosts
This year as I am back to a student's life I can offer space on the floor of my small flat - but it is extremely well located, in Dorćol, just across Kalemegdan and in a great area. You cannot find anything more central in Belgrade, and I'm eagerly waiting for your visits! I can also walk you around in the city and show you interesting places - and why not a few drinks in the evening? Welcome in Belgrade!
My Interests
Curious about everything! If there's light burning in your eyes, you can fascinate me with anything... Still on top of my list: photography, literature (reading and writing), old books and internet, live music, and the mosaic of Middle Eastern end European cultures. I am a big fan of history, art and architecture (from the most simple and intimate building to the most magnificent). I am into political conversations, also (of course - I'm French after all).
