Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Although inherently shy, I believe meeting new people, sharing experiences and making obscure friendship is quintessential for life quality. For this, couchsurfing is the ultimate tool!

Interests

Music is close to everything for me. I play in three quite different bands myself, and go to concerts all the time. Working as a graphic designer I also have a passion for all things visual.
Quite sociable, I enjoy to go out for drinks and friendly banter every now and then. Mostly now.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music I guess I'm a hard rock kind of guy, but I often find myself in bizarre jazz/pop /electronica/extreme metal/folk/country/tuvan throat chant situations as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

"The One Amazing Thing" was my recent no-flight-challenge circumventing the globe. Between the 15th of July 2017 and 15th of July 2018 I visted 66 countries and travelled 90 000 kms. A lot of rails, plenty of buses, many days at sea and (almost) no flights!

Apart from that, in 2015 I made a train trip between my two favourite cities, my hometown of Trondheim and that of Tokyo, Japan. I also got to generate a vault of quite amusing anecdotes by establishing a contemporary primal caveman death metal band, getting to travel to the US, the UK and all over Scandinavia.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think the coolest thing about hosting is being able to see your hometown with fresh eyes. So if you wanna meet up, that's a service I obviously provide. Although admittedly, that's not unique for me... :)

I humbly think that I might be pleasant company, and hopefully we could have a lot to talk about. I would love to buy some rounds for us at your favorite waterhole, if you're up for that! And if you should need any assistance with whatsoever, I would be happy to give a helping hand!
