ABOUT ME

I love traveling, and with a college student's budget, I do the best I can! It's difficult to explain everything about a person in one paragraph, but I consider myself to be very laid-back while traveling. I love to spend time seeing sights and moving around, but it's important to me to get a feel for each place I go to. This is part of why I think CS is great and allows people to connect with locals who can display a different side of the city or area. Personally, I find the conversations I have with people in the cities I visit to be worth more than anything else. If I can really talk with someone I am staying with, I consider my whole trip to be a success!

PHILOSOPHY

Do whatever makes you feel most alive. I think we are in a struggle to do that our whole lives, and traveling can really put that in perspective.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I've only been able to surf due to being overseas, but I hope to host once I return home! I definitely want to give back to this community that has helped me so often.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I've had an absolute blast utilizing CS. I've met some wonderful local people who have shown me astonishing generosity and a genuine love of traveling. Perhaps the best part of CS for me has been getting an insider's look at the cities I've visited, as my hosts have been very open and in some cases have even shown me around their locations.

兴趣

I love music, drumming, acting and talking about just about anything. I'd say I'm pretty laid-back when traveling, so I enjoy a good talk often as much as a night out.

Too much to mention here on music and movies..just ask me and I will tell you! To give you something to go off of, ask me about Radiohead, Beach House, any contemporary jazz or indie rock! As far as books go, I'm a personal fan of Vonnegut, Tolkien, Kingsolver or basically anything about psychology or music.

There was a time that a friend of mine from Singapore and I had to ask random people on the street to find a roof over our heads. It was a thrilling but frankly a bit frightening experience. We had no luck for hours until we stumbled across a house occupied by a few men who run some sort of community organization. I was awestruck by their generosity and in my friend and I had a fantastic nights sleep.
