I have tried to save the world. It cannot be done. The only person you can save is yourself. So I embrace joy and living pride.

Interests

I am a collecter of stories.

I am also interested in canoeing, kayaking, biking, literature, poetry, chess, landscaping, plants, mushrooms, trees, insects, animals, birds, good beer & wine, cooking & eating, writing, making music, making movies (but not watching them), Earth based forms of spirituality, and whatever else comes along.

Galeano (Memory of Fire is the most important work of the 20th century), Paz, Fuentes, DH Lawrence, Tolstoy, GBS, Oliver, Harrison (love Revenge & Legends of the Fall), William Erwin Thompson, and a thousand others that i won't mention unless you come visit.

My music is blues, jazz, funk (miss you James Brown), and international stuff.

Movies - not big on them anymore - want to create my own mythology and not be filled with other people's images but old favorites were Chinatown, Clockwork Orange, The Marriage of Maria Braun, Jules & Jim, Ashes & Diamonds - you get the idea

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Biked across the United States, treked for 6 weeks in Nepal, watched a dragonfly nymph hatch into a dragonfly on Umbagog Lake in Maine/New Hampshire, rafted the Grand Canyon, I do a 7 to 10 day solo paddle in the Boundry Waters every year. I took care of my Father and my Aunt before they passed
