I am an open minded guy who likes to travel. Not to see the world so much, but to meet different people with different backgrounds and societies.
Usually my trips are connected to music. Trips with orchestras, Going to workshops, etc. It seems that I enjoy travelling more if I am involved in something in the country I visit.
I am located in Leipzig, , but since 2 years also in Tallinn. I came there for the music and stayed. And whenever possible I am there to join the amazing improvisation scene there. Actually I am starting a Ph.D. doctorate in Tallinn... Wherever that leads me :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In the past years I moved more and more to free improvised music. Before I had many trips with orchestras that were fully paid. Now I have the need to develop myself and therefore I have to travel.... But much less money...
Sometimes I would like it more to just stay in a hotel, just to relax, because usually travelling usually also means working for me. On the other hand it is always a pleasure for me to meet new people and have interesting talks - so this is double-sided.

Interests

Mainly music in all its facetes, but actually I am interested in almost everything that people have to tell :-)
When I think about that, it is much easier to tell what I am not interested in:
the stereotypical stuff we think men are usually interested in... like football or cars...

Music, Movies, and Books

I like it when interesting stories are told, in movies, books and music. Special effects are just nothing more than a pleasant addition...
Seems like I need the feeling that it expresses something.
