Hi! I am Philipp from a small Town in Germany near Stuttgart. I already travelled a lot of Europe and small Parts of Asia. I'm interested in a lot of Stuff like Art, Music, Literature and Football (as i am a huge Fan of VfB Stuttgart :) ). I do not like drinking that much, but a nice cold Beer or a Glass of Whiskey in a Bar or on a Blankett in the middle of nowhere next to a Bonfire sounds great!

When i come to explore a new Country i always try to get to know the Culture and Society by meeting Locals to connect with. Touristy Areas or high-class Hotels to stay are not my Piece of Cake. I also try to avoid paid Tours as long as its possible. Like for example, i*d prefer to take the local Bus to any kind of National Park than to get picked up at the Hotel Front by a Bus full of 15 other Tourists on a paid Tour with free Waterbottles and an required Insta-Review (i don't use Social Media at all).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, like written above, I would love to meet Locals to experience a new City or Country. A place to sleep would be very nice, but is not extremely necessary. Would be more like the Cherry on Top of the Cake for it is of course depending on the Connection between me and the Host to decide wether i can sleep on the living Room Couch or not. I have absolutely no Problem with staying at a Hostel and meeting up with a Host for any Activity.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music overall Genres. Favourite Song at this very Moment would be "Doomed to Live" by Mokadelic, as i have recently watched the Show "Gomorrha". For going to a Concert or a Festival, for me it'll be Reggae/Dancehall or Techno. But i think it depends more on atmosphere, so why don't go to a metalfest :-)

My favourite Books come from Stephen King, but i recently read "Shogun" by James Clavell and i liked it a lot. I'm also into Comics, Graphic Novels or historical Texts.
