About Me

I'm sorry, I'm not currently hosting.

I'm very easy going, and laid back. I enjoy making new friends and meeting new and interesting people. I'm always looking to try and experience something new. I work 9-5 in the city and off on weekends.

I have a young growing family, with 3 young children. I split custody 50-50 with my ex. They are the world to me and keep me pretty busy when they are around.

PHILOSOPHY

I love learning and exploring. I am very inquisitive and love to question the world around me. I am a bit of a minimalist and enjoy experiences over possessions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the opportunity to meet new people and have new experiences. I find so many of the people I've met couch surfing are also so interesting with such amazing stories and experiences. Its a great escape while I'm stuck in the grind.

Interests

Quite diverse, including most outdoor activities, hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, gardening, foraging. Exercise and fitness. Reading. Country music.

Music, Movies, and Books

The four hour work week is my favorite book of all time and Tim Ferris has been my idol since reading it.
I'm a big fan of country music, but also enjoy classic rock.
I like to read alot of dystopian future novels, 1984, Brave new world, Oryx and Crake, The year of the flood, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was able to participate in a medical mission to Nicaragua in 2011. This was an amazing an eye opening experience I would love to be able to use my medical training to help in underprivileged areas again.

Many years ago in my younger days, I was all about living my dreams and desire no matter how crazy, so for a summer I learned how to bull ride, I drove to a rodeo school in Northern Quebec, then rode at a few events that summer on the Ontario Rodeo circuit. Although I never really got to be very good at it, it was still an amazing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I pride myself in much of my practical knowlegde and skills. I uses to raise chickens and grow fruit trees. I like the idea of being self-sustainable and developing skills to be able to make and repair tangible objects.
