About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get exhibits in New York

ABOUT ME

I am Patrick J. Acheson, I was born in Calgary but come from an Irish background and spent alternating summers visiting relatives there. After studying journalism and deciding to pursure a career in photography I left Calgary and set off to try my luck in Europe. After four years and many many moves I decided to settle in Italy....where the food is great and the art is even better. My photography work is all about cities and the people in them... check out my website or look at flickr for my most recent work.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite band at the moment is The Arcade Fire. Most of the music I listen to comes from Canada....I don't know if this is a symptom of homesickness or just because the independent music scene there is just amazing right now but my ipod all maple all the time.
I'll read just about anything that doesn't have a celebrity on the cover. At the moment I am reading Solomon Gursky by Mordecai Richler. My Favorite living writer has to be Douglas Coupland. He is an amazing artist as well. http://www.coupland.com/

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are so many things that could go in this box! I'll just put one for now...I have seen the Cliffs of Moher, on the west coast of Ireland, covered with a blanket of thick fog and then just as we approached the edge the wind blew the fog and rain up giving us an amazing view of what seemed like the edge of the earth.

Teach, Learn, Share

I carry extra cameras for anyone that would like a photography lesson.

Countries I’ve Visited

Countries I’ve Lived In
