About Me
Due to our busy schedules, we generally cannot except guests without at least 72 hours notice and don't accept unverified couch surfers without multiple previous positive references.
Please read my profile before requesting to stay. Thanks!
**********
I love adventures, road trips, rails to trails bicycling, meeting new people, and pretty much anything that offers a challenge. Summer of 2015 — completed the 300k Bitteroot Bike Loop in Idaho with 12 other ladies. Past trips include a 7,500 mile road trip across Canada and the US.
Best places: Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada and Riding Mountain National Park in Manitoba, Canada.
Favorite Factory Tour: JiffyMix in Chelsea, Michigan.
Other all time favs for scenery: Stanley, Idaho; Big Horn Mts in Wyoming.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's great to have a free place to stay and learn about an area from locals and it is really nice to have guests that you can welcome into your home and learn a little something from.
We have stayed with a couple of people. So far, all great experiences.
Our guests have included two seemingly random couples from Poland (turns out they were from the same city!) and various others.
My spouse and I live in a drug-free, scent-free home (no perfume/essential oils/patchouli). If you are scented or use drugs, a different couch would be a better option for you. Although we have a small black lab named Shasta, we are unable to accommodate your pets.
Feel free to stay one or two nights. Another host is a better option for you if you are looking for a last-minute place to stay or to stay longer than a couple of days. Please mention the name of our dog in your request and we will know you have read our information prior to requesting a stay.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't listen to a whole lot of music; movies take too much time (I'd rather be in motion...although I do love documentaries); and most of my reading is online and non-fiction specifically when I am trying to figure out how to do something. Recently read The Grapes of Wrath, which was my Dad's favorite book and paralleled his early life experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share
Teacher by trade; lifelong learner by nature. What could I teach you? iPhone, GPS, computer skills; home improvement tricks; creative designs for Geocaches. :-)
I love learning how things work, tips for cooking, and could use a banjo lesson.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation and information about the various places we have traveled and bicycled. Although we have no expectation around meals, we generally provide our guests with them. If we are offered a meal at your home, we are always willing to help out in the kitchen or contribute to meals.
