I am very enthusiastic, very open-minded and interested in many things. I love connecting to new people and I love languages. I am running my startup, which is connecting people who want to learn a language to people who can offer a language in town, at home or virtually. I genuinely enjoy helping other people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Following my passion, I want to travel the world, but Europe is a good start! For my platform, I want to carry out My Language Journey. For that, I want to visit (European) cities and while being there, meet locals and language enthusiasts who want to teach or learn a language. I'm seriously interested in over 20 languages, but for this first trial I'll be making videos on all the languages that I will meet speakers of on my trip. For my Europe Language trip, the following languages are on my list to document and learn some basics of:
Dutch, English, German, Luxembourgish, French, Occitan, Catalan, Spanish, Portuguese Por&Braz!, Italian dialects, Swedish, Norwegian Bm&Nn, Danish, all Slavonic languages.
Also, I'd love to shoot video's on Baltic, Turkic, Basque, Albanian and the Celtic leftovers in France and the UK/Ireland.

On My Language Journey, I want to interview native speakers from the above language list. I will record the interview and edit it into final short videos and episodes for my youtube channel and perhaps some book.
Those mini-interviews with language learners, teachers and, if they're interested, hosts and other new friends whom I am hoping to meet who want to share something about their language(s) and lives.

I myself want to improve my current language knowledge and learn some more of the languages spoken in the cities I visit. Lastly, I want to connect to anyone local and on the road who can share interesting or funny things about their languages, And of course, interesting sites and drinks have to be part of any successful trip!

Needless to say: languages and people. Further I love travelling (but then again, which couchsurfer doesn't) and cultures. I love history, geography, science and basically I enjoy learning about most things. Oh, and food. But not in the basic I need food way, but I really love food and coffee. And sun. I'm a cat lover too. And info boxes like these that I think I finished, but then realise I should have Music, Movies & Books.

Music, Movies, and Books

many things, if not too heavy. I enjoy listening to most pop from most countries, lounge mixes and I have a particular interest for bandoneon/tango, piano, guitar, but then again I really like many kind of music. Not much of a specific taste I guess? That's different with food. No, it isn't. I like most kind of food too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

(Currently) starting up a global language learning community. Hopefully, we can make it an online & offline network like couchsurfing! It is specifically matching people who want to learn or practice a language with teachers or other native speakers.

Teach, Learn, Share

What do I want to teach, learn & share? Languages! I can teach you a couple of them, (check my level in advance, though!) I can also teach you (how you can learn) multiple languages at the same time in a pretty easy way. I'd love to give you more lessons and I enjoy cooking. But it's better for all of us if I don't teach you to cook.

Update as of mid Sep 2021: offering a bed/room in our apartment in Valencia from which my boyfriend and I will be working remotely during the week during day time. Open to sharing meals.
