About Me

Hi, I’m Prakash, from the ocean-side lands of Goa, western India.

I walk the path of a traditional yogi and a filmmaker, one foot in the world, the other in the silence behind it. In 2018, I left my work as a quality engineer, not out of rebellion, but from a quiet calling deep inside. Since then, I’ve lived as a wanderer. No plan, just presence.

For over two years, I moved across the Indian subcontinent like water, living with tribes, monks, and forest people, from the icy stillness of Ladakh and Nepal to the warm earth of South India, the jungles of the Northeast, and the old deserts of Rajasthan. I traveled with little, but received much. Culture, stories, language, food, and the wisdom that comes from simplicity.

The yogic path I follow is rooted in breath (prana), sound (mantra), and stillness (dhyana). Not performance, not show. Just awareness. What I practice is less about posture, more about presence. I’ve seen how the ancient ways still breathe quietly in remote places, often unnoticed.

For nearly a year now, I’ve been walking across Asia, Altai, Mongolia, Siberia, Buryatia, Yakutia, drawn to places where spirit still whispers through land, sky, and fire.

To me, travel isn’t escape. It’s tapas, a kind of sacred burning. Every step a shedding. Every silence a teacher.

If our paths cross, I’d be glad to sit, share breath, maybe chant a little, or tell you stories the mountains once told me. Not to impress, just to connect. Because in the end, we’re all walking each other home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There’s no greater feeling than welcoming someone into your home, sharing the real Goa and its soul, then seeing that twinkle in their eye, the one that silently shouts, “There is nowhere I’d rather be than here with you.”

I’m a traveler of the unseen, moving between worlds and hearing the silent language of spirit in every place and face.

Hosting is a sacred exchange, where the illusion of separateness fades, and we remember we’re all walking home together

Music, Movies, and Books

I move between worlds, where techno-organic pulses meet ancient tribal heartbeats. Mid-tempo rhythms, jazz, and funk flow alongside the ambient soundscapes of Steve Roach and Brian Eno, weaving space for meditation and transcendence.

My lens is drawn to stories that reveal the unseen, documentaries like Latcho Drom, Touching the Void, and Fantastic Fungi illuminate the sacred journey of life, struggle, and transformation.

Books rooted in Indian spirituality guide my inner voyage, offering timeless wisdom that whispers beyond the mind, touching the soul’s depths.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Met his holiness Dalai Lhama.
It’s just says one. Rest is mystery.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a certified yoga teacher, I guide others to connect deeply with their breath, body, and consciousness.

I bring stories through filmmaking and the flavors of India through cooking, weaving culture and life into every moment.

Motorcycle journeys are my moving meditation, each mile a prayer, each road a path inward. I share what I’ve learned about traveling solo and simply, with heart and humility.

Beyond that, I offer genuine presence, an invitation to experience the soul of Goa, its hidden places, and the joy of true connection.

Let’s walk this journey together, learning and growing in spirit and life.
