About Me

Confident, curious and always up for a real conversation.

Single dad, entrepreneur, ex-military - I've learned to be adaptable - stick shift, kitchen duty or finishing a jar of Nutella are all fair game.

Born in Lagos, raised across Nigeria, the US and India...I carry a mix of cultures, stories and flavors wherever I go. For me, travel is about people and perspective more than ticking places off a list.

Animals usually win. I've rescued everything from snakes to monkeys and bats, and these days I'm mostly surrounded by dogs (six at last count) or helping out at a local pet clinic.

I'm currently building in web3 & AI, with side interests that wander through aquaculture, alternative health, craft beer and the occasional deep rabbit hole. I also care deeply about parental rights - it's personal.

As a guest: I'm clean, respectful and easy to have around. I cook, I help out and I'm mindful of space and routines.

If we can share a meal, trade stories and leave each other with something new, that's a win.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's about people more than places.

I've lived across different countries and cultures and I've learned that the most meaningful parts of travel aren't the sights - it's the conversations, the shared meals and the perspectives you take back with you.

As a host, I enjoy opening my space to people from different walks of life...exchanging stories, ideas and creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable.

As a traveler, I prefer experiencing a place through the people who live there...the local spots, the routines, the small details you don't find online.

For me, CS is about genuine connection, cultural exchange, and leaving every interaction a little better than you found it.

Interests

My interests tend to wander.

Right now it's a mix of building in web3 & AI, going down random rabbit holes and finding good food wherever I am.

I enjoy long conversations that go somewhere - ideas, cultures, how people think - but I'm just as happy keeping things light over a meal or a drink.

Animals are a big part of my life. If there's a dog around, I’ll probably find it.

I like movement too...road trips, exploring cities on foot or just getting lost somewhere new and seeing where it leads.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music

I'm an equal-opportunity listener...if it moves, I'll groove. From symphonies to hip hop, death metal to house, I dip into everything. That said, my playlists usually lean toward a dangerous mix of EDM and Afrobeats.

Books
I buy books like some people stack coins...more than I can realistically get through. Shelves full, wishlists longer. Finishing them now or later doesn't matter.
I like to think of it as a long-term investment...when life slows down, my library will already be waiting.

Movies & Series
I treat movies like series...watch them in parts, turn everything into a cliffhanger. But when it comes to shows, I"m ruthless. Back-to-back episodes, no mercy. Also, certified Star Wars fan...currently rewatching the entire saga in chronological order.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A tetanus shot went wrong and spiraled into ICU stays, a stroke and two near-death experiences.
I wasn't supposed to make it. I did...and I don't look at life the same way anymore.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: practical life skills, a bit of cooking, perspective from living across cultures and how to stay calm under pressure (military habits don't leave you).

Learn: languages (working my way back to French), local cultures, new ways of thinking and anything people are genuinely passionate about.

Share: stories, meals, ideas, and conversation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm low-maintenance and easy to have around - clean, respectful and aware of personal space.

I cook well, help out without being asked and generally leave places better than I found them.

I bring good conversation, a mix of cultures, experiences and always curious to learn from the people I meet.

I adapt to how you like to host.
