Overview
About Me
I love traveling and adventures like hiking, mountains, and sports. I like to experience new emotions. I'm not a big fan of sun and beach, so the few times that I go, I will go in the early morning or late afternoon. I love music, video games, books, and movies. People say I am a very friendly and easy to live with, but a little shy if anyone begins the conversation, not wait for me ;), but in return, I am a very communicative and reliable when it needs to. Right now I am doing research (Ph.D.) at the University of Regina and I am also a teacher there (from computer science).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate in helping those in need, exchanging experiences, participating in meetings, giving local tips, among other things.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My experiences are few. By the time I only got people and attended meetings in my town. I learn that do not matter if you are a great host if you are travelling with someone will be hard to find someone to host you. I received more than 30 people from the last years and the two times that I travelled and need the couchsurffing (south america and europe) I never get a couch. It is so sad =(
I will continue helping people, but I lost the hope to couch works for a couple.
Interests
Music (pop, rock, classical, jazz, blues), photography, cinema, international literature, history, culture, video games, computers and technology.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I believe we are 3 things I can score here. The first was my first trip abroad, where I spent one month enjoying and immersing in the culture and language. The second thing was when I took computer classes to underprivileged children, it is really satisfying. The third thing was when I walked through the city for 2 months, collecting toys at school and with friends to bring joy to children with cancer at Christmas. It was a unique experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I learn about languages, like studying languages (despite the little time we make available) and education in computer science and management courses aimed at university students.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A comfortable and warm couch in the living room, a good dinner (sorry if you are vegan, I don't know how to prepare a vegan food) and a good conversation.
