CURRENT MISSION World domination, one social networking site at a time. Also, to visit five continents before I'm 30. ABOUT ME I work at a university. I'm a librarian, which means that I help people discover cool stuff and find new things that they might be interested in. I'm also: a computer geek, a Wikipedia enthusiast, a fan of science, a voracious reader, a constant traveler, an occasional cook, a vaguely professional writer, and a pretty good conversationalist. I have a master's degree in library science, an undergraduate degree in literature, and a PhD in being up for anything. I like learning other languages (though I am not very good at it), hearing about travels, talking about the world in general, and adventures. I am a fairly quiet person and I live in a small town but I like to think I'm a pretty good host. PHILOSOPHY technology + wine = awesome.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
Once drove across a third of the United States by myself (20 hours) without resting. One summer traveling in Europe, I broke my arm in Budapest. I spoke no Hungarian at all, but had to find a doctor on a Sunday. I finally found a hospital that patched me up quite successfully. I also became quite good at pantomiming falling by the end of it. I saw a manta ray on my first open-water scuba trip; the instructor said it was a lucky sign.
