About Me

mission statements smell too corporate for me

1.PREFERENCE GIVEN TO ITALIAN AND CHINESE SPEAKING GUESTS. 2.I WILL NEED TO SEE YOUR PROOF OF VACCINATION. Most of the time I'm energetic, hyperactive, ultratalkative and doing 5 things at a time (good at multitasking, yes). I work too much for a human being and still try to have a busy social life after hours. But this is an energy-intensive lifestyle so at times you may meet my shadow, when i need some time to recharge batteries.
IMPORTANT: read My Home section to learn about my house rules (especially that you cannot leave my home before 8.30). Some people find them too strict so make sure you're fine with them. I don't feel like fighting with those who try to bend them.
I say NO to Twitterization of human interaction so if you send me an unreasonably short (twit length) message, don't expect an answer.

There's always a bright side to things, it's all in your attitude. Ask me and I'll nearly always find some sort of silver lining :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I host and surf plus I use CS Brussels for tips on life in Brussels and for an occasional meet up with ppl I find interesting

An active CS member since 2005, I have met heaps of memorable people, learnt some interesting stuff from them, been helped out and got to help out, made life-long friendships.

I'm into learning new languages, new cuisines and new lifestyles. Besides, I'm a bike enthusiast and an avid walker, especially when it comes to city tours. Also I'll never say no to camping or cycling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like sci-fi books, historic panoramas and in general books that make you feel "Fuck, I wish I had this kind of imagination" .
Movies - insightful movies abt relationships like Take That Waltz and Republic of One, smart mysteries or thrillers where everything checks out in the end (think Mamet), smart comedies.
Music - mostly rock and experiments in mixing rock, folk and other stuff but also a devoted fan of David Bowie, Pixies, Ella Fitzgerald and the Beatles

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunset at Amazonian rivers (never up early enough to see the sunrise :P), wheezing down a dune on a sandboard, going down with a swirl on a paraglide, getting lost in a jungle with not enough supplies and little hope of getting back (feels the best to get back after all!), shunning authorities while illegally in quite a militarized country.

Teach, Learn, Share

Share a handful of geeky and useless facts that come handy as conversation starters.
