About Me
Greetings, fellow travelers and couchsurfers!
I was on a mission to explore every corner of India, and so far, I have had the pleasure of staying for months in 15 out of the 29 states. I am a slow and steady traveler, taking my time to soak in the culture and beauty of each place I visit. I have, however taken a break from long time traveling and I am studying for my higher education. Does that mean I'll not be here? Nako. I still couch-surf as a way to connect and network with variety of individuals.
I absolutely stan and believe that you "must allow me to feel at home" because I'll be onto the dirty dishes and the laundry and whatever house chores that you may need help with, I'm on it. I also teach my host's kids Math. Now that can go very wrong haha but I do! Let me know how can I help😸.
When I'm not on the road, I work as an educational professional, which allows me the freedom to pursue my passion for travel and hot chocolate. I also have a soft spot for animals, birds, and insects, and I highly recommend checking out the Blue Iguana if you ever get the chance!
Couchsurfing has been an amazing social experiment and a true boon for travelers like myself. It has provided me with incredible insights and opportunities to connect with people from all over the world. In fact, I used to host people in my home in Nashik before I even knew about this wonderful app and organization!
I am always excited to connect with individuals who share my humble outlook on life. As someone from a defense background, I value clean communication and understanding. I also have great admiration for those who wake up at 5am and go to bed at 10pm, just so they can catch a sunrise. It takes discipline and a sense of adventure to live life to the fullest, and I admire those who embody these qualities.
As a newcomer to this community, I am eager to establish a network of like-minded individuals who can share their experiences and lessons with me.
I would like to state some rules that I follow on couchsurf-
1. I won't be adding people as friends who are really not my friends.
2. I don't engage in impersonal discussions about myself or ask others. I prefer this space to develop candidly.
3. I'd not be able to share my social media accounts upfront and on day 1 or sometimes never. I value my online privacy and being a woman, I do have unprecedented and unwanted experiences and right now I don't wish to strike the first chord even for the benefit of the doubt. I hope we can stay connected via the contact information that I directly share with you.
4. Kindly do not offer me a space just because I am a woman. If you know, you know what I mean. I am wary of these advances and I want to feel safe wherever I go.
5. Kindly pick up after yourself if you are my guest. Leave the place as you found it so it helps me save the chores. You are an adult so kindly do your chores on your own- i.e making the bed, washing the used mugs in the sink etc. I would like to help but I can't do all your chores.
6. Get me something if you are visiting. Anything sweet/simple/ small. A souvenir from your place/ culture. Could be anything :). I keep this to have a sense of people i hungout with and how we spent the time together.
Whether we align perfectly or not, I am always open to learning and growing from every encounter. So let's connect, share stories, and spread the spirit of Ubuntu - I look forward to meeting you! 🪄🤲🏼
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The very purpose - culture travelling. The humans that are around us are manifestations of the cultures that go back thousands of years back! It's not practical to say that they're still them but they are- and I love to know a place, through people. And sometimes it's vice versa.
