Overview
About Me
Hey! I’m Youssef, originally from Morocco and now based in Tamraght. I run a surf camp called Maghrib Nomads and a hostel in Taghazout called YASURF Guesthouse. I love meeting new people, sharing experiences, and introducing others to the surf and beach lifestyle. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced surfer, I’m always happy to hit the waves together or just chill and enjoy the sunset.
I’ve been hosting travelers for years and love the cultural exchange that comes with it. I speak Arabic, French, English, and some Spanish, so I enjoy connecting with people from all over the world.
When I’m not surfing, you’ll find me exploring new places, hiking, or just enjoying good food and conversation. I believe in living life with good vibes, open-mindedness, and a spirit of adventure

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I enjoy a mix of everything, from chill reggae and surf rock to deep house and Moroccan gnawa music. Anything with good vibes works for me.
Movies: I love adventure and travel movies—something that inspires me to explore, like Into the Wild or Endless Summer.
Books: I enjoy books about travel, self-improvement, and philosophy. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is a favorite—it really speaks to the journey of life and following your dreams
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Starting my own surf camp and hostel has been an incredible journey, but one of the most amazing things I’ve done is surfing perfect waves in some of the best spots in Morocco and Bali. Watching the sunrise while catching waves, surrounded by nothing but the ocean, is an unforgettable experience. Some of my favorite surf spots include Anchor Point, Boilers, and Imsouane in Morocco, as well as Uluwatu, Padang Padang, and Canggu in Bali. Each place has its own unique energy and perfect waves!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to surf, share insights about Moroccan culture, and show you the best spots around Tamraght, Taghazout, and beyond. I’d love to learn about your culture, your language, and any new skills you can share. Life is all about exchange!
What I Can Share with Hosts
• A place to stay at my surf camp in Tamraght or hostel in Taghazout (depending on availability)
• Surfing sessions and tips if you want to catch some waves
• Local insights into the best spots for food, sunsets, and hidden gems
• A laid-back and welcoming atmosphere
Looking forward to meeting fellow travelers and sharing great experiences!
