About Me
Hey, I'm Rachael,
I appreciate a good sense of humour.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It can be difficult to make friends in places where you know exactly no one. I am always interested in getting to know a place through people and couch surfing is a dreamy way to make that happen.
To know a place, you need context and Couchsurfing is a great way to find people to provide this essential piece of knowledge.
Interests
Biking centres me and makes me feel like I'll live forever. I like to hike but what I really enjoy is a little spliff with a coffee in the morning and then listening to my favourite music while walking somewhere.
I practice yoga and like to run and stay active because what I really love is to eat!

Blood orange
As for books, it works out that I read mostly fiction however, I am picking up more and more nonfiction these days. I'm finishing up Carlos Fuentes' The Old Gringo right now.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have recently been certified as an English teacher and would love to practice my teaching methods. I like to think I'm a socially conscious Canadian and am very happy to share the good and bad about my country's past and present.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my experiences and lend a sympathetic and interested ear. If it doesn't annoy you, I will offer tips and tricks to improve your English as well.
I will absolutely tell you about the ikea monkey.
