About Me

ABOUT ME

Although I was born in Poland, the rest of my family live in Poland. My family consisted of my father and mother, one older step-brother and younger sister. My father is a jeweler owns stereotypical "mall style" jewelry store and I was following in his footsteps I learned to design jewelry at my father's knee. My father would let me string, drill and cut coral, turquoise, black jade and make silver beads for necklaces I spent my summer days I worked in family jewelry business, I was 15 years old when I started make my first money! My mother dedicating herself to the family's jewelry business before married my father she worked as a Polish literature teacher in primary school, so she has never in her life used a computer or even a keyboard. My mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child (me). Now that I understand how much work and love it takes to raise and to keep a family together.
My adventure with swimming started in my latest years. Why so late? Everyone asking? I couldn't swim until 18 years old. It is the result of preparation hard work, and learning from failure I learned to swim age 18. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort. When I was 18 years old I became a lifeguard (2004). Since gaining my first lifeguarding qualification I took part in many lifeguard competitions, rescue demonstrations, I have been a member of a Polish Lifeguard Association and member of a lifeguard team in my hometown. I have done all the required qualification and went a long way to become a Beach Lifeguard (senior).

In 2005 I become a student at the University of Physical Education and Sport in Wroclaw (Poland) and then continued being a part time lifeguard and worked as a assistant swimming coach in two leading swimming clubs. As a part of studies I started working voluntary having the unique opportunity of working with one of the best swimmers Agata Korc (Beijing 2008, Women's 100 meters Freestyle finalist). Everything went well, until I had injury I took 1 year gap. As I get a really long summer holiday

Swimming lets me have a break from usual day to day activities, and puts variety in my life. It is skill that will give you plenty of pleasure and let you meet many interesting people. I am the best example of that as I moved to the UK in 2009 and swimming helped me get to know many interesting people here.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm fully qualified ASA Level 2 swimming instructor. I started getting experience in swimming teaching as a assistant of swimming coach since 2005 when I was in University of Physical Education in Wroclaw (Poland). I also worked for three years at the two swim clubs as a student assistant coach. I started working valunntery having the unique opportunity of working with one of the best swimmers Agata Korc (Beijing 2008, Women's 100 meters Freestyle finalist). When I arrived to England in 2009 I'm teaching all levels children and adults also people with special needs. Teaching and Coaching choice I made it's related to discipline "I love". In my opinion teaching and coaching is a very rewarding career. For many young people You are one of their main inspirations and you will play a big part in empowering them to fulfill their potential.
So that's why I enjoy teaching and I honestly and truly believe that teaching is what I was born to do!
