I'm Raleigh, from Florida, US :) - looking to meet people while traveling Europe solo this winter - feel free to reach out!

I am fairly outgoing when I feel comfortable, and very open to meeting new people and having new experiences. I left the states in October and do not wish to return any time soon. My goal after traveling is to head to Vietnam and get some experience teaching English. Prior to traveling Europe, I was in Indonesia getting certified to teach Yoga. The month changed my life and perspective on a lot of different things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling alone can be lonely and expensive - I have friends who have recommended couch surfing to me, one who is very experienced with it, and I am excited to meet new, like minded people.

When I first set off on my traveling journey three weeks ago I felt quite depressed, but now I am getting more used to it and enjoying the solitude. However, I love the idea of having friends across the globe :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music, and I think when people say that other people usually don't believe them - but its true. As long as it is good - it's good. I like rock, screaming, electronic music, spanish music, folk, blues, rap, etc etc. I love films and especially documentaries. I find myself mostly reading non-fiction, though I recently read Gone Girl - it was fantastic. I like books about war as well. Again - if its good its good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my job, sold my car, left the country indefinitely, and completed a month long 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Bali, Indonesia - now I am out and about exploring the world. My end goal is to teach English in SE Asia, more than likely, Vietnam.

I am learning (slowly) Spanish and Italian (on Duolingo)
