About Me

I just moved to Gothenburg from Singapore so I'm pretty new to the area. I can't show you around but maybe we can explore together!

Im a pretty laid-back soul who loves the mountains and the wild. I live with my heart on my sleeve which admittedly gets me into trouble, but the most incredible things that have ever happened to me was when spontaneity, reckless impulsiveness and an inexorable curiosity took the driving seat.

When I am not clambering up rock walls and mountains in search of inner zen, I pretend to lead the boring life of a researcher (Im joking. I love my job, viruses are cool!). Life is tragically ephemeral, so I want to fill it as much as possible with joy, laughter, love and insanity. And silliness.

PS: I won't accept friend requests unless we have made acquaintance in some way first 😋

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've ever done was the technical mountaineering course I did in India, at the Western himalayas. It was 19 days of brutal alpinism training, followed by a midnight summit push to 5230m. We were about 100m below the summit when the sun began to rise. I was roped up to my mates when I noticed the world lighting up around me for the first time. I turned around and what i saw took my breath away.

We were surrounded by an amazing menagerie of jagged pinnacles rising out of the ground, shining golden as the first rays of the sun kissed its snowy peaks. I was floored by its sheer majesty.

I never forgot the awe and priviledge I felt at being alive to see it. The Himalayan experience changes everyone. It certainly changed me. And it was here I first attained an almost masochist love for the mountains.

I've never looked back.
