ABOUT ME

I am a liberal atheist, who loves life and tries to live every moment. I drive a sports car (BMW Z4) and I drive it hard and test its capabilities. My avocation and passion is photography, specializing in people and scenery. I love to travel by car with the top down so I can take in the environment I am driving through. I am into the theatre, symphony, and ballet and modern dance. I am also a pretty bad procrastinator. I like people but can be alone without problems. I am divorced 3X. I have three grown kids, five grandchildren, and two great- grandchildren. I am blessed with excellent health.

PHILOSOPHY

Take what life gives you and make the most of it, but not to the extent that one is driven to a goal that is really not necessary for the enjoyment each moment. I will not sacrifice friendships to attain some "goal."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Being new to this concept I am not sure. However, I am a "joiner" and a volunteer for an art museum, and a musical theatre, as well as the professional organizations to which I belong. I will have to see what develops here.

Music, Movies, and Books

Primarily classical music, mostly from the romantic period to modern. Big Band swing music still turns me on. I prefer live theatre to movies, but do both.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing was starting and running my own business and making it successful enogh to feed me and keep a roof over my head while not killing me or giving me a bad heart or ulcers.

Teach, Learn, Share

Even though I am 84, I am still very curious. Science is my primary interest and I try to keep up with the latest information. When I see something I don't understand I try to learn about it. As a consequence I know a little about a lot of things and a lot about a few.
