ABOUT ME

I love showing off parts of my country that people miss. BE PREPARED FOR AMERICAN MIDWESTERN FRIENDLINESS! haha. Americans can be very friendly, but I'm from the Midwest (Kansas) where people are VERY VERY Friendly. Depending on what country you're from this can be a bit strange, but I promise it's just cultural. I'm not a crazy person, and the enthusiasm is sincere.

I love attending meeting and giving traveling advice to anyone passing through. I host when I can and love playing tour guide.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have made so many wonderful friends throughout the CS community. I don't know what I would have done abroad without it.

I have lived in South Korea, New Zealand, and Australia.

VISITED every single place they filmed the Lord of the Rings in New Zealand. Climbed Mt. Doom, went to hobbiton and touched Bilbo's gate and stood on the top of Edoras as well as much more!

Toured the DMZ in Korea. An amazing tour. Worth it! I recommend it to EVERYONE.

Visited an Elephant Sanctuary in Thailand where an amazing woman makes it her life's work to rescue abused elephants and give them a good life where they can be free. She does a lot of animal rights activism in Thailand.

I climbed Crough Patrick in Ireland. I saw Sir Ian McKellen in a RSC production of King Leer and the Seagull and then met him and got his autograph. I attended the Rally to Restore Sanity in Washington DC.

I swam with dolphins in Florida and got to see manatees in their natural habitat.

I had an amazing time on my backpacking trip through Europe. Too many stories from that trip to list here but Ask me about it sometime!
