After working at a summer camp in the USA in 2010, then doing a trip around many national parks in western USA, I decided I want to see more of the world!
I have since graduated from university, backpacked in Thailand and Japan, had a working holiday in Australia, returned to summer camp in the USA and I have just returned from a 3 month cycle trip around Europe.
I'm now living in Japan and working as an English teacher.
As well as travelling, I love playing football, camping and meeting new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best way to travel is to meet locals who live in and know the area.
I was hosted by many people when cycling around Europe, and now I host people in Japan.
Sports, especially football (soccer) and Gaelic Football. Music. Travelling. Going out with friends. Meeting people.
Music, Movies, and Books
Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Libertines, the Wombats, Of Monsters and Men.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2014 my job contract ended, so I flew to Barcelona, bought a bike and spent the next three months cycling around Europe!
I had never cycled much before so I didn't really know what I was doing, but travelling in way gave me so much freedom and I met so many great people along the way.
I hope to do another bike trip through South America, Australia and South East Asia!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to teach. I've worked as a football coach and spent two summers working at a summer camp in the USA. I'm now teaching English in Japan.
