HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Haven't yet. Currently, I'm looking for a place to stay in San Francisco, so I'm filling out my profile.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Zero, Zip, Nada, Zilch! So far, anyway. My dear friend Stan in Austin, has couch-surfed his way through Europe and has had many wonderful experiences and met some wonderful people. I have three friends here in Bakersfield, who host couch surfers, Kimberly Dinsdale, Becky Baker and Julie Jordan Scott. Julie said this morning, that it's been a wonderful experience for her and her family! :-)

Traveling, visiting old familiar haunts and new places. Been to Europe three times and lived in Belgium for six months. Learning more about my home state of California!

I'm interested in photography, fine art, pastels, drawing, painting. I draw in fine detail in pencil and colored pencil and paint with acrylics. I've thrown pottery on the wheel, but that was many years ago. I love animals and had two Irish Setters when I was married, one English Setter, a number of cats - NOT all at the same time!! ;-) Currently, I have two Scottish Fold girls who are best of friends and have been together all of their lives. Great companions!!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One of the amazing things I've done is camping up on the mountain tops of the French Alps. I was living in Belgium at the time, and we used to go camping whenever we travelled to neighboring countries, which was almost every weekend. We drove up the most narrow winding roads in the Alps! So narrow that one car would have to back down when another car approached. It was harrowing in places, at least on my side, the passenger side looking down on the cliff!!! Whew!! Anyway, it was spectacular!! Up there, the spattering of residents don't have any of the amenities after dark, like lights - at least they didn't back then (80's). Sunsets were wonderful there on the top of the world!! I have to add another amazing thing, and that is hot-air ballooning!! When I was married, my husband and I were the ground crew for a couple of friends in Billings, Montana. Flew over the Badlands, Lots of adventures. Way cool!!
