Why I'm on Couchsurfing
It is an amazingly great way to break down the idea of commodity exchange. When a person accepts me to stay with them I feel as if I should exchange something with them whether it be a great dinner or breakfast, some help around the house, a conversation, some help with the bills, an Australian souvenir or my best t-shirt (get in quick because chances are all my good ones will be gone by the end of my trip)
