About Me

Learn more through travel experiences

I love to swim but only in big and heated pools ;)
I also like to run.
I use to sleep few, go to bed late and wake up early.
I love pets, as dogs and cats.
When I am in a trip I like to follow my schedule strictly because it is once in a lifetime opportunity and I don't have time to lose, so I try to feel like a local, walk a lot, get previous information about culture and history of the places I'm going to visit and take a lot of photos!!
I try to be an organized person mainly during a trip.
I don't know why but I always feel more cold than most of the people, if the temperature is 15 celsius degrees I'm already packed of coats, gloves, scarfs, boots, and even so I'm freezing, due to that I really don't like winter, maybe just winter clothes :D
I don't smoke and I hate the smell of cigarette smoke. I drink just sociably.

I'm a Christian and my goal in life is always to be a better person, is self-improvement. My ethical and my moral are guided by Christian concepts. My church is www.verbovivo.com.br
My sense of humor is sarcastic and ironic. I really enjoy a clever conversation in order to learn more from people and perhaps spread the few I know. I like to wonder about life, society, observe other people's behavior and take conclusions that might be useful for my own life, my fault is thinking a lot about everything.
I'm used to do things on my own, travel by myself, decide alone. I enjoy to be free to do what I want to do.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

My friend Luiza has invited me to a meeting and then I got in touch with this brilliant project.

I already went to some meetings in Fortaleza, CE, Brazil and São Paulo, SP, Brazil.

I don't like nightclubs, I'm the kind of person who likes to stay in the safety and comfort of my home and I prefer not to pay expensive to listen a cover band, have a drink or talk with friends if I can do it great at home.
I give great value to my true friends.
I do not eat beef, pork or chicken, but I eat fish, so I'm still not a vegetarian although I'm trying hard to become one. I like to cook healthy food as salads, vegetables, pastas (e.g. aubergine lasagna), I admire Jamie Oliver's work.
I am also concerned about our world problems, as pollution, lack of water, excess of garbage, so I try to apply in my routine some concepts of eco-sustainability and avoid consumerism. As separating recyclable garbage, buying non industrialized food, do my own stuff instead of buying things. I get sick when I see someone wasting water or throwing garbage in the streets. Any kind of wasting is outrageous.
Professional make up, which I consider an art not a shallow practice and photography are between some of my activities.

Music, Movies & Books

I really don't like soap operas and some series are barely tolerable, just because they are designed to make us fools and curious about the next chapter.
I love movies of action, adventure, thriller, so called cult ones, drama and comedy. Recently, I loved "Blue Jasmine" of the director Woody Allen and "Frances Ha". I also like Stanley Kubrik and Tarantino movies. God Father and Fight Club are among the best movies for me.
Talking about music, I like rock, alternative rock, progressive rock, metallic rock, some MPB(Popular Brazilian Music). I just respect but simply can't stand Adele, funk, hiphop, pagode, country, these get me annoyed. But I also like some Elton John, Edith Piaf, Frank Sinatra, Andrea Boccelli, some jazz and blues too.
I always want to read a lot of books but never have time! In my list there are: Une Parisienne, The Zealot, Fernando Pessoa poems, Olhai os Lírios do Campo by Érico Verissimo, Great Expectations, Jose Saramago, etc
