About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift, that's why it is called the present.

ABOUT ME

Couches: The confy frontier
These are the voyages of regimouse
Her 5 year mission
To explore strange new worlds
To seek out new food and new wines
To boldly go where no mouse has gone before!

CS changed my life! I hosted for about two years and I was so impressed by the stories I heard that I decided life on the road is a life worth living!

PHILOSOPHY

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts.....
Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosted over 100 McSurfers when I first started way back when...

I now host at my temp homes that I rent/sit while on the road. I have done this in Mexico, France and the UK as well as my home town of San Diego.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have both hosted and surfed. I thank the gods for CS.com. There is no other way to travel. It’s not about the money saving factor, even though that is a plus. It’s about arriving in a strange city and immediately having friends that are excited to see you as if they have known you for ages; never feeling like a tourist and always feeling safe and at home. That is something money cannot buy no matter how fancy the hotel! I thank all my guest and host for participating in this great community.

Interests

Cooking, walking the city just to feel its heartbeat, a shady trail, museums, wine, dog parks, a cloudy day at dog beach, reading, laughing, but above all...Travel!! Spending time with my Cylon, go out for a good meal and wine, stay in and cook a great meal for my friends who I adopted as my family, and meet people from all over the world or city, or state, or space!

One Amazing Thing I've Done

ONE wont do, so here are SOME: I escaped death when a semi-truck in front of me lost control of its cargo. I saw the sky on fire when half of San Diego burned down, twice. I witnessed the birth of my nieces. I got bit by a monkey, then a macaw and just added in 2011 a raccoon! And in 2012 a dog, I should just start a list. I met Alan Wilder, Richard Butler, Budgie and Daniel Ash, Gordon Gano, the Dandy Warhols, the Dresden Dolls.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach ya how to cook.
I would love to learn French.
I want to share CSing with the world!
