I'm a 30 year old English guy, originally from a small town on the south east coast of England. I live in Liverpool now with my wife Rheanne. I'm passionate about music, I play trombone, particularly jazz, but mainly I play guitar and sing (and write songs when inspiration strikes!). Rheanne is a musician and artist in her own right, particularly passionate about music videos and visual albums. We create music together and also solo.
We also both enjoy bouldering and hiking, as well as travelling and meeting new people of course.
I've travelled all over Europe, UK and Australasia, never been to USA but would love to sometime.
I lived in Italy for nearly 3 years and speak fluent Italian.
I'm quite handy with cars, having restored my Toyota MR2 from the ground up myself, and we want to use the car to travel more within the UK and Europe by road.
We're both capable in the kitchen and happy to cook for you or with you, I bring the Italian influences and Rheanne Jamaican/Caribbean cooking from her heritage.
I've stayed with people on couch surfing quite a few times in the past, I've been a member since around 2017 or so. I haven't hosted anyone yet but would like to in future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on coach surfing to meet people around the places we visit and potentially stay in unique and interesting places. We have a 2004 Toyota MR2 I've restored myself and want to use it to travel more by road rather than by air, so whether it's meetups or actually surfing we're always up for meeting new people.
I believe you learn more about a place from local people rather than just seeing the sights, and my past experiences of couch surfing absolutely reinforced that!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite music is difficult, I like a vast range of music and preferences might differ daily! Belle&Sebastian have influenced me greatly, so did Dylan, the Beatles, Stones, Beautiful South, Simon &Garfunkel, Joanie Mitchell, Laura Marling and a wealth of others! These days I listen to a lot of funk and jazz related stuff, such as Sammy Rae & The Friends, Chromeo, The Cat Empire etc.
